Garda is a summer resort town on the lake of Garda in the north of Italy in the region of the Veneto between Verona and Trento. It began life as a small fishing village and now uses the beaches along the lake for its income. It small cobbled stoned are filled with souvenir shops and hotels. Something different to do is to walk the hill that backs the town and climb to the hermitage 'Eremo dei Camoldolesi' from the seventeenth century. It is only open for prayer but the hermitage grows it own food that is on sale in the little shop. Another wonderful walk is along the promenade by the lake.
