Today, Switzerland is known for its secretive banking system and its watch-making industry. On a per capita basis, it remains the world's richest country, with the Swiss franc (Sfr) one of the strongest currencies (£1 is approximately 2.4 Sfr; $1 is roughly 1.2 Sfr.). This makes Switzerland one of Europe's most expensive destinations, but a visit there is certainly worth the investment. There is virtually no unemployment or crime and everyone is always on time. In addition, the Swiss people themselves are friendly and their knowledge of languages makes it easy for them to help you. If your idea of heaven is cleanliness, efficiency and beauty, you would have to be cuckoo not to love Switzerland.
